Am I the only one ...

Who enjoys entering the wrong numbers in those CAPTCHA thingies?

As they don't actually CHECK that you're written the correct numbers (only the letters) I really do take extraordinary delight in entering them incorrectly - it even makes up for having to go through those hoops.

However every time I do it, I am half expecting that they will start verifying them too and then all my fun will be gone!

Nope. Not just you. Every number is 42

I didn't know they only checked the letters! Do I *have* to enter a number, or can I just leave those blank?

Oh you aren't the only one.

I make a conscious effort to confuse the system. 1s for 7s, 3s for 8s, etc.

LOL, any number... :-)

"42" now why didn't I think of that!

I've been using Bob's approach but will switch to 42.

And yes, Erin, you do need to enter 'something'.

Huh. I never knew they didn't check the numbers! I'll have to try that.

This fell under the "learn something new every day" category for me. Ever since I have been just entering random numbers.

Be cool if there was a possibility of winning a Google-only lottery if you entered the right "secret number," wouldn't it?

Bob, mmm, that idea might see me give up on entering 42 for everything.

The numbers look like house numbers, maybe acquired by the google street view cameras.
