Australia's Deadly Dozen

While roaming around the internets tonight I came across a photo gallery of Australia's Deadly Dozen (13 in all). One of the prettiest is ...

The Blue Ringed Octopus

Check out the others at the link.

I've saw a blue ringed Octopus and Tiger snake the last trip, I think I'll skip the rest of the gallery if you don't mind :-)

I've never come across reading about any location anywhere in the world that had as many venomous species as in Australia. Jellyfish, octopus, frog, snail, spider, snake, platypus, stingray (and as far as spiders and snakes go, the most venomous in the world); the list is truly astounding.
